Its chemical formula is (C6H10O5)no. It can be found in vegetables, especially cereals such as rice, corn, etc.

It is also present in roots such as cassava and potato.

The starch molecule is a condensation of glucose molecules, released when starch is hydrolyzed.

Starch is the most common carbohydrate in human food and is found in a large amount of food such as potatoes, rice and wheat.
